The first official pitch of the 2009 MLB season will be thrown tonight in Philadelphia as the Braves take on the World Series Champions of 2008. Will the Phillies repeat? I don't think so. Take a look at my projected standings for the 2009 season:

decent picks overall but the nationals over the marlins? i know you're a fan but i really don't foresee them being even close to any other team in that division. the blue jays over the o's is debateable. but the indians in last??? i'm really puzzled by that, many experts have them WINNING the division. but hey, that's just me... also, what do you think about manny acta picking kearns to be in his opening day outfield? seems really stupid to me.
the AL central is so wide open, i just went with a gut feeling, i actually know very little about the indians so we'll see. i think lee doesn't repeat the season he had last year.
kearns over dukes to start the season is legit, kearns has been great in ST and dukes has been the worst batter on the team. dukes will get tons of ABs so i'm not concerned, especially if they can flip kearns for a solid prospect
